Der Littin Posaunenquartett Wettbewerb ist eine Veranstaltung, bei der herausragende Musiker aus der ganzen Welt zusammenkommen, um ihre Talente und Leidenschaften für die Posaune zu feiern und zu fördern.
Für diesen Wettbewerb stehen uns weltbekannte Künstler wie Olaf Ott und Christian Lindberg zur Seite.

In diesem Jahr haben wir das Privileg, Maestro Christian Lindberg als unseren exklusiven Komponisten für den Wettbewerb zu gewinnen.
Maestro Lindberg, einer der weltweit renommiertesten Posaunisten und Dirigenten, wird ein eigens für dieses Ereignis geschaffenes Stück für Posaunenquartett komponieren.
Diese einmalige Gelegenheit verspricht nicht nur eine musikalische Herausforderung, sondern auch die Ehre, ein Werk eines der größten lebenden Posaunenvirtuosen aufführen zu dürfen.

Program Note HEAVEN’S GATE
„It was a true honor to be asked by LITTIN MUSIK to compose a piece for their international trombone quartet competition, and since the request was to challenge the competitors with something extremely virtuosic I did actually take it to the limit, however leaving it on the edge so that with lots of practice it actually would be playable.
The process was full of inspiration from beginning to end, and for the first time I wrote the piece in a very improvisational manner from beginning to end, without the usual 24 embryos selecting. The process that I usually use when composing my works.
When almost finished I had still not found a title for the piece, but when asking my wife to close her eyes, listen and tell me what she heard she came up with two words almost immediately HEAVEN’S GATE!
I listened through what I had done, and decided to use the beginning theme that gave the titleto my wife twice more in the piece, second time with a bit more passion that the beginning, and last time at the end in a full blown fortissimo, imagining Heaven’s Gate to open up. Having an agnostic view on life after this I would like though to point out that this only is imaginary and should only be regarded as phantasy.“
